Manuka and Kanuka

PF Olsen has grown a variety of indigenous seedlings at its Waiuku nursery.

We still have manuka seedlings for sale to plant now.

Now is the time to start planning for establishing manuka and kanuka next year.

Manuka and kanuka have many benefits as they can establish on difficult sites and act as a pioneering species for indigenous land cover reversion. They self-thin and these gaps provide a nursery crop for other successional indigenous species. They provide erosion control, wildlife habitat, honey production, ecological restoration, carbon credits, medicinal purposes, and aesthetics. Kanuka is longer lived and grows taller than manuka.

To discuss with our tree stock manager about the current manuka, or talk about manuka or kanuka for next year, please call Lolita 021 767014, or email below.
