Richard Beamish-White – Forest Manager, Rotorua

Richard earned his New Zealand Certificate of Forestry (Waiariki Polytechnic) in 1994 and Certificate in Environmental Science and Resource Management (Waiariki Institute of Technology) in 2000. He started his career in forestry at FRI in 1991 until 2001 with a couple of years travelling and a year studying during those years. Since 2001 he has had 2.5 years at Data Collection Services, 4 years at Scion and more recently been a Tending Forester with Hancock Forest Management, Tokoroa.

Brian Boyd – Harvesting Manager, Northland

Brian graduated with a Bachelor in Forestry from the University of British Columbia (Hons) in 1990 where he majored in forest harvesting systems. In Canada Brian had roles in silviculture and as a supervisor in forestry and harvesting. Since emigrating to NZ in 2002 he has worked for both CHH and Rayonier in forest engineering and Harvest Planning roles, and more recently has been a Senior Forestry Advisor for MAF in Whangarei.
