For sale: Northland Forestry Rights -250 hectares planted 1991-2002
PF Olsen Limited on behalf of NZFIT Limited offers for sale a tree crop held subject to two forestry rights, about 250 hectares planted in 1991-2002.
This tree crop is situated north of the Hokianga harbour, about 68 km from Kaitaia and 160 km from Whangarei. Species planted are:
- radiata pine (83%) and
- lusitanica cypress (17%).
The terrain is mostly flat to rolling and the tree crop has shown excellent growth to date.
The two forestry right agreements transfer full ownership of the tree crop to the forestry right holder in return for the payment of an annual rental. These forestry right agreements expire in 2032 or earlier at the option of the forestry right holder.
An inventory of the tree crop was completed in October 2014. An Information Memorandum (IM) together with associated information data files are available to interested parties.
Stage 1 indicative bids are due on 21 August 2015 at 4 pm;
Stage 2 due diligence for selected bidders is expected to start on 28 August 2015, with a final unconditional offer due on 25 September 2015.
For sale: Land and trees or forestry right - 122 ha in the Bay of Plenty
PF Olsen Limited on behalf of NZFIT Limited offers for sale a freehold forest comprising about 122 hectares of Radiata pine, of which about 105 hectares was planted in 1992 and pruned.
This tree crop is situated in the Bay of Plenty region, in the Pongakawa Valley off Jensen Road, West of Rotoehu Forest. This property is situated about 59 km from the Port of Tauranga. Estimated Radiata pine tree crop areas by year of planting are:

This property is a 155 hectare, compact shape former pastoral block of easy to moderately rolling terrain. Improvements comprise the tree crop and a three bedroom 1960's era weatherboard cottage set on two hectares of pastoral land. Following harvest of the tree crop, the highest and best use of this property is anticipated to be for pastoral conversion. The latest rating valuation (July 2014) of the land and improvements other than the tree crop is $1.39 million.
For sale are either:
- The tree crop only through a forestry right to be registered in favour of the purchaser on the title of the land with a term not exceeding 3 years;
- The land only with a forestry right to be registered on the title of the land in favour of NZFIT with a term not exceeding 3 years; or
- The tree crop and freehold land together.
