Forest Growers Levy Trust Research - 2020 Virtual Conference – Register Now
Each year Forest Growers Research organise a conference to communicate the outcomes of industry funded science and innovation projects to forest industry and other stakeholders. This year the conference was planned for Nelson in mid October but due to the uncertainties created by COVID-19 restrictions, financial belt tightening and a reluctance of many people to travel and attend larger gatherings, we made the decision to cancel the conference and replace it with a series of virtual webinars to be run over the same time – Tuesday 13th – Thursday 15th October 2020.
The Forest Growers Levy Trust are investing over five million dollars in research programmes spanning across the value chain and with leverage from government and other industry funding a research programme of some $16-17million is in place. Communicating the extent of this extensive and interesting programme, the industry problems being addressed and the value of the outcomes to industry is the objective of the virtual 2020 conference. It will be of interest to all involved in the business of forestry from large corporates to small forest owners and farm foresters, contractors, consultants, researchers and those with policy and regulatory roles.
