Safe Tree Contractor Certification - Reed Contracting

Reed Contracting first registered for the scheme in November last year, and after submitting information on their Health & Safety system and their safety record, they were visited by a SafeTree auditor. The audit went well and following a few additional queries, they were granted certification.

Reed’s have worked for the PF Olsen Nelson branch since 2010 as a ground-based crew. Their first work for PF Olsen involved harvesting on Rabbit Island, and they now operate in woodlots around the region. Reed’s have become known to local forest owners for the consistently high quality of work they produce.

Becoming certified under the scheme is further recognition of the great safety culture within their business and will be a great selling point for their services going forward.  PF Olsen local manager Sam Nuske says, “the crew always has a philosophy of do it once and do it properly, and it is pleasing to see their health and safety focus recognised in this certification”.
