One Billion Trees Programme

The “stars are aligned” for forestry to become a bigger and much more valued land use in New Zealand. Not only are market conditions more favourable (timber and carbon price), but also forests' “eco-system services” are being more widely recognised and in some cases monetised (e.g. nitrogen credits for reduced runoff and NZUs from carbon sequestration). In addition, the Labour-led government has an objective of increasing forest area in New Zealand by 1,000,000 hectares over ten years. This presents an exciting range of afforestation opportunities for land owners and investors. To learn more, click here to request our free information booklet.
