New staff


Kirsti Buikema (pronounced Bōkimma) started 23rd May in the Plimmerton Office. Kirsti works part-time and will look after the Woodtrack and Administration duties for the SNI region. Kirsti was born in South Africa, and hence supports the Springboks (except when they are playing the All Blacks), and despite living in the Wellington region, Kirsti openly admits to supporting the Chiefs. Kirsti has a Bachelor of Business majoring in HR and Management, and most of her private time is taken up with her husband Reender and 7 month old son Theodore (Teddy).


Regan Conn commenced in Northland as Forest Supervisor reporting to Al Pankhurst. Regan has previously worked in the Rotorua office on a direct seeding trial with Wei-Young and more recently has been working as a Forest Contractor for Forestech Services. Regan has a Bachelor of Forest Science and enjoys all outdoor activities.





Ian Denny started as Group Accountant in Rotorua. Originally from Rotorua, Ian has returned after several years of work in the UK. Ian is a Chartered Accountant and is interested in getting back into mountain biking and trail running in the forest.




Josh Penn returns to PF Olsen after 22 months working for Department of Conservation in Whanganui. Josh and Emily and young Lochlan will remain in Whanganui where Josh will manage the district’s harvest management responsibilities for PF Olsen.
