Staff changes - December

November brought the retirement of Theo Vos after 27 years of loyal service with PF Olsen. Theo takes with him a wealth of accumulated knowledge and experience, and will be sadly missed by the entire PF Olsen team. In the interim Theo has agreed to stay on in a casual basis in order to complete a few unfinished projects for the organisation. We wish Theo and his wife, Mariette, all the best with their future plans.

We have also had a number of new staff join us in Rotorua this month:

Tony Li - PF Olsen Tony Li has joined us as a Graduate Forester. Tony has recently completed his Forest Engineering degree at Canterbury University where he studied as an international student from China. Tony will initially commence working with Hamish MacPherson for two months, followed by two months working with Kit on Environmental projects, and then will join the Forestry team for 6 months.

Sarah Orton - PF Olsen Sarah Orton has commenced part-time and will increase her hours to full-time early 2016. Sarah will cover Sally’s maternity leave, and is currently also working part-time with Scion in the Computer Science team. She has a Bachelor of Forest Science (Canterbury) and a Masters of Environmental Management (Massey). Her Masters’ thesis was on Environmental decision support systems for Maori Land Owners.
