New Branch Manager for Nelson

PF Olsen has recently appointed Brendan Horrell as the branch manager in Nelson. A local born and raised in Motueka, Brendan is a former Nelson Bays rugby representative, whom is passionate about plantation forestry as well as New Zealand's native forest. Brendan has a masters degree in forestry science and has worked extensively in the planning and management of forest harvesting operations.

Brendan and his young family also have their own native forest restoration project which keeps them busy with ongoing stoat, rat and wasp control.

In his previous role for NZ Sustainable Forest Products Ltd, Brendan assisted clients through the long process of planning, obtaining, and carrying out the sustainable management of native forests. In this role Brendan was noted for his open communication and inclusive management style. PF Olsen clients can rest assured that Brendan will keep them fully informed throughout their forestry project.

Brendan's long term focus is to raise the profile of PF Olsen in the Nelson region and continue to manage both the Tasman District and Nelson City council's forest resources to the highest standards.

Peter Wilks remains in the PF Olsen office, in a consultancy role providing forest valuation and technical expertise on call. Peter and Brendan have very complementary skills that will benefit forest owners in the region. Irene Buchan continues to manage the Richmond office and administration duties for the Nelson and Marlborough teams.
