Sales & Operations Manager, Rotorua

PF Olsen’s key purpose is to maximize value for forest owners through all aspects of forest management, from planting through to harvesting and marketing, while managing commercial and statutory risks.  It is important to us that we remain leaders in the field when it comes to our work processes, health & safety and environmental systems.

If you are an experienced and motivated Sales & Operations Manager, a team player with a can-do attitude, then you are who we are looking for! Come join the team based in our modern Head Office situated among the popular cycle and walking tracks of the Rotorua Redwoods.

Duties will include:

  • Managing sales, woodflow and log transport operations, to deliver high quality results
  • Development of production and distribution plans and financial budgets
  • Contract management
  • Client and business partner management and reporting
  • Best practice management of health, safety and environmental performance

 To be successful you will be:

  •        Passionate about forestry in New Zealand
  •        A self-motivated person with a positive attitude and a desire to learn
  •        Experienced in forestry, logistics and contractor management
  •        An excellent communicator and computer literate
  •        Suitably qualified in a related field

 

Harvest Manager,Waipapa

We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Harvest Manager to join our high performing Waipapa, Northland team. Located close to Kerikeri in the idyllic ‘winterless’ Bay of Islands.

 Duties will include:

  • Best practice management of health, safety and the environment
  • Managing harvesting crews to a high level of performance
  • Road engineering and harvest planning
  • Client management and reporting

To be successful you will already have:

  •        A tertiary qualification in Forestry (preferable)
  •        Proven track-record, with 5 or more years’ experience in Harvest Management
  •        Harvest planning and roading experience
  •        Excellent interpersonal and team skills
  •        Good communication and written skills

 

Business Development Manager,Southern North Island 

Due to ongoing expansion, we are currently seeking to add a vibrant and motivated Business Development Manager to join our Wellington team. This role will grow our forestry and harvest business in the Southern North Island region and will ideally suit someone with a forestry management background, strong relationship building skills and a keen interest in sales.

Duties will include:
• Seeking opportunities to manage harvesting and marketing for forest and woodlot owners.
• Negotiating and preparing log sale and service agreements.
• Assisting with the procurement of contractor capacity.

To be successful you will already have:
• Excellent communication/interpersonal skills and ability to build rapport with a wide range of people.
• Outstanding drive, resilience and ability to meet targets and succeed.
• Formal training or qualifications in sales/marketing, forestry or agriculture.
• Knowledge of domestic and export log markets.
