Forest Manager, Rotorua

If you are an experienced and motivated Forest Manager, a team player with a can-do attitude, then you are who we are looking for to join our team based in our Head Office here in the beautiful city of Rotorua. 

Duties will include:

  • Best practice management of health, safety and the environment
  • Managing establishment/silviculture crews to a high level of performance
  • Client management and reporting

To be successful you will already have:

  •        A tertiary qualification in Forestry or equivalent experience
  •        Proven track-record, with 5 or more years’ experience in Forest Management
  •        Excellent interpersonal and team skills
  •        Good communication and written skills

Harvest Manager, Rotorua

It is important to us that we remain leaders in the field when it comes to our work processes, health & safety and environmental systems. Therefore, we are currently seeking to add an experienced and motivated Harvest Manager to join our motivated Rotorua team.

Duties will include:

  • Best practice management of health, safety and the environment
  • Managing harvesting crews to a high level of performance
  • Road engineering and harvest planning
  • Client management and reporting

 To be successful you will already have:

  •        A tertiary qualification in Forestry (preferable)
  •        Proven track-record, with 5 or more years’ experience in Harvest Management
  •        Harvest planning and roading experience
  •        Excellent interpersonal and team skills
  •        Good communication and written skills

Harvest Planner, Gisborne

We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Harvest Planner to join our Gisborne team. If you have 5 or more years’ previous experience in Harvest Planning, and you are a team player with great communication skills, then you could be the candidate we are seeking.

Your duties will include:

  • Planning harvesting operations to a high level of performance in H&S and Environmental
  • Developing effective harvest plans for ground based and cable operations
  • Analysing harvesting options and undertaking assessments of environmental effects to support consent applications
  • Client liaison and written reporting

Forest Manager, Nelson

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Harvest Manager with a can-do attitude to join our Timaru office. This is a small and highly energetic close-knit team who pride themselves on high quality results for their valued clients.

Key responsibilities will include:

  •         Best practice management of health, safety and the environment
  •         Managing harvesting crews to a high level of performance
  •         Client liaison and written reporting

To be successful you will have:

  •       5 or more years’ experience in Harvest Management
  •      The ability to cope with the fluid woodlot harvesting environment
  •      Proven leadership and team work skills
  •      A tertiary qualification in Forestry (preferable)
  •       Good communication and written skills

Forest Supervisor, Otago

If you are an experienced and motivated Forest Supervisor, a team player with a can-do attitude, then you are who we are looking for to join our team based in Dunedin.

 Key responsibilities will include:

  •        Supervising the establishment, tending and maintenance operations in clients’ forests.
  •        Supervising contractor silviculture crews to meet customer demands.
  •        Monitoring compliance with health and safety and environmental requirements
  •        Some Harvest supervision work may also be required, and previous harvest experience would be an advantage.

 To be successful you will have:

  •        A tertiary qualification in Forestry or equivalent forestry experience would be preferred, however recent forestry graduates will also be considered.
  •        Excellent interpersonal skills and computer skills.

Harvest Manager, Otago

Business Development Manager, Otago

This role will grow our forestry and harvest business in the Otago region and will ideally suit someone with a harvest management background, strong relationship building skills and a keen interest in sales.

 Duties will include:

  • Seeking opportunities to manager harvesting and marketing for forest and woodlot owners.
  • Negotiating and preparing log sale and service agreements.
  • Assisting with the management of harvest operations and logistics.

 To be successful you will already have:

  •        Previous operational harvesting experience.
  •        Excellent communication/interpersonal skills and ability to build rapport with a wide range of people.
  •        Outstanding drive, resilience and ability to meet targets and succeed.
  •        Formal training or qualifications in sales/marketing, forestry or agriculture.
  •        Knowledge of domestic and export log markets.
